    This tour is your chance to sample some fine French wines and see the historical monuments of the city of Orange. Marvel at the Roman Triumphal Arch in Orange; it is truly a masterpiece of architecture and sculpture. Smaller than its counterpart in Paris, it is no less a work of art with its intricate engravings that have stood the test of time.

    Sample some of the most prestigious red wines in the Rhone valley and stroll around the winery in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. You could stop at a traditional shop and select from an assortment of fine wines and other Provencal specialities, for your family and friends back home.

    Itinerary

    You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will be taken to the city of Orange.

    Explore Orange and see the Roman Triumphal Arch, a symbol of Roman imperial glory. Built in the 1st century as a tribute to Augusta, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Antic Theatre (entrance fee included), it is one of the best preserved theatres in the Roman Empire with its stage wall intact. After sightseeing in Orange, you have free time for lunch (cost not included).

    Further on, proceed towards the vineyards between Orange and Châteauneuf-du-Pape and stop for some wine tasting in a cellar. You will try the most prestigious red wine in the Rhône valley and visit the winery founded in Châteauneuf-du-Pape 100 years ago.

    After wine tasting, tour ends at the starting point.
